[India] Van der Aa, Royaume au Grand Mogol... Leiden, 1719. 11 x 13. BW. VG. From "Cabul" to the Deccan and east to Pegu. With many place names along the Indian coastlines. A prominent feature is the double row of oak trees connecting Lahor and Agra, planted by order of Akbar the Great (1542-1605) to provide shade for travelers between the two cities. A strong impression with decorative cartouche featuring an enthroned monarch, merchants, and the personification of two rivers, probably the Indus and the Ganges. Compass rose and scale bars. $375.00
