[North America] Pinkerton, British Possessions In North America. Philadelphia, 1818. 19¾ x 27¼. Full original color. Faint stains at upper centerfold and in North Atlantic, else VG. The colorist's use of a pleasant rose shade for this vast territory makes for the "Great Pink North" rather than the Great White. Many tribes are located and trading posts are named. Two tiny areas outline coasts seen by Hearne in 1771 and Mackenzie in 1789. SOLD
