Bird's-eye view on two leaves joined. Engraved by Giulio Testone for Carlo Losi's edition of Cruyl's survey (first published 1665). The engraved key identifies 300+ places of interest; important sites such as St. Peter's are shown in profile. With several inset views highlighting "newer" buildings, some erected during the reign of Pope Innocent XII (Antonio Pignatelli, reigned 1691-1700) whose arms are featured in the cartouche.
